“What you don’t say
is separating us”
Some conversations are tough. So we choose not to have them.
Resentment builds as the years move on.
At some point, the words never said drive a wedge that is almost impossible to undo.
Now what?
I reached the tipping point.
The marriage wasn’t working. On Xmas Eve 2006, I called it.
I looked around, saw the gifts, and felt numb.
But it also felt right and that would be the beginning of the rest of my life.
This little dude inside of me—the one who’s been secretly running the show—he’s pretty magnificent. Despite the chaos, the obstacles, and the challenges life threw at him, he survived.
We’ve all been there. Raging. Scrolling. Legs numb. Just me?
We struggle to articulate our thoughts and arguments. But there’s that perfect meme that will encapsulate the exact thing we’re thinking in the most passive-aggressive way imaginable.
Now, if I can just find it.
I’ll finally be able to smile
in full splendor when taking pictures with my babies… in 2 years. Maybe.
I’m finally getting Invisalign to get a beautiful grill next month. Stay tuned.
