Keep shooting. Keep swinging. Keep showing up.
As their father,
I’ve always tried to protect them and their beautiful minds from any and all harm.
Yet they still feel pain. They still feel sadness.
But to be human is to feel all range of emotions. Silly daddy.
This little dude inside of me—the one who’s been secretly running the show—he’s pretty magnificent. Despite the chaos, the obstacles, and the challenges life threw at him, he survived.
What they once used to insult me has become my crown. I take it as a compliment.
