I asked my mom recently:
Of all the worries you had about your children, how many of them came true?
She replied: Very few.
But yet she worried about all the potential things that could go wrong making herself miserable and sad.
I wish I could remember the last time…
they ran into my arms & then I tossed them in the air.
The glee & laughter would set the tone for the ride home.
They’d tell me about their week and all the new friends they made.
Then they’d ask about our plans for the weekend and what adventures we were going on.
I wish I could remember. #fatheringfromadistance
I won’t quit. Can’t stop.
Won’t stop. But I’ll cuss the whole time!
You get just one life. One!
Why aren’t running like we’re on fire towards our craziest dreams?
All they need is curiosity, plus a jolt of fear, anger, or disgust… and you’re hooked.
“A lesson will be repeated until learned.”
Somehow you will find yourself back in the same spot.
Same question. Same challenge. Same decision.
