Some conversations are tough. So we choose not to have them.
Resentment builds as the years move on.
At some point, the words never said drive a wedge that is almost impossible to undo.
Now what?
I wish I could remember the last time…
they ran into my arms & then I tossed them in the air.
The glee & laughter would set the tone for the ride home.
They’d tell me about their week and all the new friends they made.
Then they’d ask about our plans for the weekend and what adventures we were going on.

that children have in their lives. We are their first heroes. They believe and follow our every action, thought, and belief.
