What Is Love?

Most of our art and life is about love.

The desire. The connection. The loss.

We build our entire lives around something most of struggle to define.

What is love?

It’s one of those questions that keeps pinging at the back of the brain. It’s such a vague and personal thing. Slightly woowoo. But I can’t stop circling it.

Here’s my working definition:

Love is hope.
Love is acceptance.
Love is patience.
Love is giving.
Love is forgiving.
Love is receiving.
Love is affection.
Love is connection.
Love is reflection.
Love is seeing. Hearing. Believing.
Love is pain.
Love is healing.
Love is truth.
Love is trust.
Love is cheesy.
Love is hard.
Love is easy.
Love is being.

Love is knowing you can be exactly who you are and be accepted for it.

What is love to you?
How do you know when you feel it?
How do you give it?
