This little dude inside of me—the one who’s been secretly running the show—he’s pretty magnificent. Despite the chaos, the obstacles, and the challenges life threw at him, he survived.
I asked my mom recently:
Of all the worries you had about your children, how many of them came true?
She replied: Very few.
But yet she worried about all the potential things that could go wrong making herself miserable and sad.
You live most of your life inside your head.
Make sure it’s a nice place to be.
Imagine little me at six years old, adorable, obviously.
Big belly poking out from under a shirt that’s losing the battle. Hair for days. Like a mini lion cub.
My daughter has gotten “hit on” twice
while driving on the freeway in the last few weeks.
Seriously.
How successful is this approach?
Boys, do better. Don’t be a fucking idiot and get someone hurt.
